Who is responsible

The site and the games are run by Fabrizio Bacchin in a personal capacity. For any privacy question, write to [email protected].

When you visit the site

bacchin.app is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web server, to deliver the pages it receives your IP address and some technical information — your browser, the page requested, the time — and keeps them in its logs for a limited period, for the security and operation of the service. We don’t use this data to identify you, nor do we combine it with anything else. Details in Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

The site sets no cookies, uses no analytics tools and shows no advertising. The fonts are hosted here too, so no request goes to Google while you browse.

Live data

Some pages show up-to-date data: interest rates, queues at the Gotthard tunnel, editions of the tournament rules. Your browser downloads it from fbacchin.github.io, hosted by GitHub, which in turn receives your IP address to deliver the files. They are public files and contain nothing about you. Details in GitHub’s privacy statement.

Links to other sites — the App Store, GitHub — take you away from here, where their own rules apply.

The finance tools

The ECB & Euribor Dashboard downloads the rate series directly from your browser, from the public APIs of the European Central Bank and the Deutsche Bundesbank, which receive your IP address in order to respond. It sends nothing else.

The Stock Tracker asks Twelve Data for the share price, using the API key you enter yourself, and open.er-api.com for the exchange rate. Twelve Data receives the key and the ticker you look up; open.er-api.com receives only the currency. Your key and your investment data are stored only in your browser, so they are there on your next visit, and never reach us: you can delete them at any time from your browser settings.

The games

The games on giochi.bacchin.app are also hosted by Cloudflare. High scores and settings are saved only in your browser, on your device, and never reach us. To work offline too, each game keeps a copy of its files in the browser; you can delete it at any time from your browser settings, together with your high scores.

Laser Invaders also has a shared leaderboard. If one of your scores makes it among the best, the initials you choose — three letters — together with your score, level and date are saved on Supabase and become visible to all players. We don’t ask for or store anything else, and Supabase receives your IP address only to respond to the request. If you want one of your entries removed, write to us. Details in Supabase’s privacy policy.

The Euribor Weekly newsletter

If you sign up for Euribor Weekly, you give us your first name, last name and email address. We use them only to send you the Monday newsletter and don’t pass them on to anyone else. Your subscription only takes effect once you have confirmed it through the link you receive by email.

The emails are sent via MailerLite, which keeps the list of subscribers on our behalf. When you sign up and confirm, it also records your IP address and the country it resolves to, as proof of consent. For each issue it records whether it is opened and which links are tapped: this tells us whether the newsletter is being read. Details in MailerLite’s privacy policy. At the bottom of every issue there is a link to unsubscribe, which removes your data from the list; or write to [email protected].

Outside Switzerland

Cloudflare, GitHub, Supabase and Twelve Data are providers based in the United States and may also process this data outside Switzerland and the European Union, with the safeguards described in their privacy policies.

Your rights

You can ask at any time what data concerns you, and have it corrected or deleted. For the site and the games, in practice, the only data we keep is your entry in the Laser Invaders leaderboard, if there is one. Write to [email protected].

If you believe your data is being handled improperly, you can contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in Switzerland, or the data protection authority in your country.

The apps

Each app has its own privacy policy, because each one handles different data, and its own support page with frequently asked questions.
